"Just by pure luck, the first time we ever performed this song live my mom and my uncle (my dad's brother) were in attendance at the show. It meant the world to me to let them hear it, but being a bar show they couldn't quite make out all the lyrics. So the next day I brought my acoustic over to my mom's house and played it again for them. My uncle said "you need to record that, just like that". So I set up a time with Chris. I sat down in a chair with my Gibson Advanced Jumbo and he put one nice condenser mic in front of me. This was the second take.
