"This was the song that started it all. Augustine (original name for the project) was just an idea until I wrote this tune. Initially it was just one vocal part. But I was inspired by the song "Don't You Want Me" by The Human League. I liked the alternating voices for the verses, the two different perspectives of the relationship. So I asked my sister to sing the other part with me and she ended up joining the band."

lyrics
Now that it’s all over
I hang my head and cry
‘Cause the love we had
Was the killin’ kind
Used to be great
Used to be-autiful, babe
The music that we made
It’s quiet now
I could never change
I know that now, seems so strange
The promises we made
They’re all broken now
Now that it’s all over
I hang my head and cry
‘Cause the love we had
Was the killin’ kind
Now it’s gone away
I can’t go, it hurts to stay
But don’t look at me, babe
I’m turning ‘round
I could never change
I know that now, seem so insane
The promises we made
These hearts are broken now
Now that it’s all over
Hang my head and cry
‘Cause the love we had
IT WAS KILLIN’
**
Now that it’s all over
Hang my head and cry
So we must admit
It was the killin’ kind
