Definitely our most upbeat track, this is a really driving tune with a kind of lonely message. There is a fictional story line threading through a lot of our songs and this one is right at the heart. Not all of the story songs have been recorded yet, but hopefully one day we can cull them together in a cohesive release. In the meantime, roll the windows down and crank it up!
lyrics
I won’t stand in line
Bitter hearts and tears I’ve cried tonight
I won’t be here all this time
I won’t come around
Witness slow death in this town tonight
This is where I draw the line
And I wait all along the frontline
For you to come back home
This porch gets so lonely sometimes
And I wait alone to see daylight
Suffer through this sleepless night
Here I am with heart in hand, but you
You just come home anytime
If you could only listen
You’d see what this has been missing and I
I won’t hold your hand this time
I won’t come around
Witness slow death in this town tonight
This is where I draw the line
And I wait all along the frontline
For you to come back home
This porch gets so lonely sometimes
And I wait alone to see daylight
Suffer through this sleepless night
Here I am with heart in hand, but you
You just come home anytime
**
And I wait alone to see daylight
Suffer through this sleepless night
Here I am with heart in hand
Here I am with heart in hand
And I wait alone to see daylight
Suffer through this sleepless night
Here I am with heart in hand, but you
You just come home anytime
